Publix
Super Markets Corporate Office Subject: Deterioration of Publix I have been a loyal customer of Publix and Store #564 since it opened. I have complained before about the issues in the second half of this letter but this last trip was a major blow for me and my relationship with Publix. For years my wife, I, and kids have enjoyed Publix Deli Drumettes on Saturdays and for various occasions when we would buy more or with deli trays. The Deli manager my friend Wanda has informed me that Drumettes have now been removed from their sourcing list and are now serving just wing pieces. Drumettes were a flaghip Publix product. If you went to someone else’s house for a party and you saw these served, you knew immediately they came from Publix. These need to come back immediately. I can buy prepared wings anywhere and at steeply lower prices (Kroger, Walmart, etc). Plain raw wings from the Deli are at least $1 cheaper than the Drumettes while the Deli price did not move. Needless to say, I don’t want regular two piece wings anyway. Prior to this issue has been the store stocking situation. I do my shopping on Saturday staring mid to late morning. Regularly the store is always out of something, or some of the product looks at the end of its shelf life. The icing on the cake was last week when I decided to go to store #508 on Saturday as I was shopping in that area. I only had a modest list of things to get but needless to say, the store was out of three items that I needed to get. Because of the inability to get our Saturday mainstay deli treat and not being ability to fulfill my shopping list, Publix will now have to fall to 2nd or 3rd on stop list for grocery purchases. I think this type of warning needs to be spread to other consumers. This letter will also be posted on my web site. I will also be happy to post your response. Regards,
